What is Quantum Computing?

Quantum computing is a field of study that concentrates on the development of computer-based technologies that surrounds the principles of quantum theory.

The quantum theory explains the nature and behaviour of matter and energy on the quantum levels – atomic and subatomic levels.

To perform specific computational tasks, quantum computing employs a combination of bits.

It is acknowledged that David Deutsch of Oxford University provided the pivotal idea for quantum computing research. The development of quantum computers represents a significant advancement in computing capability, which results in massive performance gains for the specific use case.

Quantum computing, for example, excels at similar simulations.

The quantum computer gains processing power by allowing bits to be in multiple states at the same time. They can complete tasks by using a combination of 1’s, 0’s, and 1 and 0 simultaneously. MIT and Oxford University are among the top current quantum computing research institutions.
